RULE 10 - Not Guilty Plea in Traffic or Criminal Case

In accordance with Rule 10 (B) of the Ohio Rules of Criminal Procedure and approval by the Lakewood Law Department, a defendant, by or through counsel, may waive formal arraignment without the presence of the defendant for the purpose of entering a not guilty plea in writing similar to the procedure set out in Traffic Rule 8(C). In granting this approval, the Law Department reserves the right to require the actual presence of the defendant in court upon reasonable notice to the court and defendant.
